KPI cards & tables

Add metric cards, data tables, and matrix visuals — the core building blocks of any BI report.

Slicers & filters

Mockup your filter panel with slicer components so stakeholders understand the interactive controls.

Mock data editing

Common questions from Mac users

Why doesn't Power BI have a Mac app?
Microsoft has never released a native Power BI Desktop application for macOS. The Power BI Service (web) is available on Mac but it's view-only — you can't build or edit reports in it. Microsoft has acknowledged demand for a Mac app but hasn't shipped one. For now, Mac users are stuck with workarounds like Parallels, Boot Camp, or remote desktops to run Windows.
Is Mockko a full replacement for Power BI?
No — Mockko is a mockup and prototyping tool, not a production BI platform. It doesn't connect to live data sources or run DAX (yet...). Think of it as the design phase before Power BI: you mock up the layout and visuals in Mockko, get stakeholder approval, then build the real thing in Power BI Desktop (on Windows).
Can I use Mockko on macOS Safari?
Yes. Mockko is a web app and works in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on macOS. No extension or plugin required.
What chart types does Mockko support?
Bar charts, line charts, area charts, pie/donut charts, scatter plots, KPI cards, tables, matrix visuals, and slicers. More are added regularly.
How do I export my mockup to share with stakeholders?
Mockko exports to PNG, PDF, and PowerPoint (PPTX). The PPTX export is especially useful for dropping into a stakeholder presentation before your Power BI report is built.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 3 projects and the core visual library. Paid plans start at $9/month for unlimited projects and all export formats.
